Several years ago I wrote an article entitled “Faith vs. Fear”, where I touched on the concept of how God only works in the areas of your life that you turn over to Him. These areas are identified to God by faith. Continue Reading »

The thought life is the beginning of victory or the beginning of defeat. Victories are won and lost here. The battle starts here and is won or lost here. Much is said in God’s Word about our thoughts and what we do with them. Continue Reading »
Ephesians 6:10-13 (New King James Version)
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
We have all seen times when really good Christian people who seem to have a lot of faith fall, and we wonder to ourselves exactly what happened in their situation. Continue Reading »
Mark 11:22-24
22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
To open your big mouth and speak to a mountain does not make sense to the natural mind. Continue Reading »

Rise Up
After many years of studying the agape love of God I’ve come to the realization and I’m firmly convinced that God wants us well. He doesn’t want us barely making it, and barely struggling by; he wants us to be on top, he wants us to be the head and not the tail. Continue Reading »
The Power of Our Words pt.2 by mark baker 5/19/2007 / Devotionals
De.30:14. But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.
Rom:10:8: But what does it say? “The word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach):
Rv:12:11: And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.
He.4:14. Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
We are being encouraged to hold on to our confession of faith. Many times we hear the God’s Word and faith arises in our heart, we begin to proclaim the truth from our heart, but then we start to look at the waves boisterous and see the result of the wind. Continue Reading »
Psalms 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.
It is not a coincidence that the meditation of our heart and spoken words are in the same verse and that they must both be acceptable in God’s sight. All through the Bible there are references to what is in the heart and what comes out of our mouth. Continue Reading »
